Imagine coming home from your holiday and being greeted as you open the front door by the very welcome surprise of a vase of beautiful lilies sitting resplendant on your dining room table. For us it was a welcome home present from our lovely neighbours. The flowers looked fantastic, lasted for ages and filled the room with their beautiful scent.
Now, our lilies were placed in a very suitable place because when their flowers bloomed, the pollen fell on a wooden table top but things could have been very different if the pollen had been able to fall upon a carpeted floor. If you've ever had lilies you may well know what I'm talking about. The stains from the highly coloured pollen can be almost impossible to remove.
So here's a tip.....
If the pollen grains are lying on the surface of the fibres, carefully place some sticky tape over them and gently lift them off.
