Old and set coffee stains can be a real nightmare to remove but if the correct remedial action is taken as soon as the spill occurs, then there's absolutely no reason why they should there in the first in place.
So here's what to do when you go to put your coffee cup down on the table and miss:-
Arm yourself with a bottle of soda water, a roll of kitchen towel, or other absorbent cloth and plenty of patience.

Apply the soda water to the stain (if it's a big stain, do a bit at a time), and then blot carefully with your cloths, always working from the edge to the centre. Never rub -this will make the stain further penetrate the carpet and damage the fibres.
Keep applying the soda water and blotting dry until the water you are blotting up is clear.
Finally, if you feel the urge you can dry the area off with a hairdryer working on a cool setting.
If you're thinking of trying this technique on an old stain, then don't. Just call in the professionals. They stand a better chance of removing the stains without causing further damage.
That's all for today.
